Multi-plate clutches type ETM – ..4 are designed exclusively for operation in oil. They are powered by 24 V DC (12 V or 48 V on special request). Transmissible torque 20÷1600 Nm.
Attention!
Clutch driver is made only on customer’s request –
specify the size in the order.
Lubrication
Lubrication of multi-plate clutches is designed to reduce the wear of parts (mainly friction plates) and to dissipate the heat generated during operation. Multi-plate clutches should be lubricated with any mineral oils with viscosities lower than 37 cSt. Depending on the linear speed of the clutches “V” (measured on the outer diameter), it is recommended to use oils with the following viscosity:
• at linear speed V < 12 m/s – oils with a viscosity of max. 37 c.St
• at linear velocity V > 12 m/s – oils with a viscosity of ~ 20 cSt
Attention! Oil viscosity is at 50°C [ 1 cSt = 1 mm2/s ]
The methods of coupling lubrication (from the inside through a hollow shaft, by pouring or by immersion in oil to the height of 1/6 of the “H” diameter) depend primarily on the operating conditions.
