Conical-Rotor Brake Motors DEMAG KBA
Conical-Rotor Brake Motors DEMAG KBA
The benefits at a glance
High-performance motor
- Motor output up to 55 kW (at 40% CDF)
- 2, 4, 6 or 8 poles
- Two-speed pole-changing motors
- KBA for starting-and-stopping drives
- KBF for direct line-fed travel motions
Extremely robust brake
- No switching elements needed
- No separate control needed
- Long brake lining service life thanks to effective dissipation of heat generated by the brake (through large surface area of brake cover)
- Short overall length and good heat dissipation (brake disc simultaneously forms the motor fan)
- Two brake disc designs – light for KBA motors, heavy and with increased moment of inertia for KBF motors
- Extremely high switching frequency permitted
- Resistance to temporary overload
